We welcomed Angela Edgecombe as our Program Meeting speaker for May, who spoke about her travels to India on a project to help victims of polio. She educated us about how they work to stop the spread, by wearing masks and controlling border crossings. The disease is devastating, and they are battling a new strain for which existing vaccines don't work. The project also involved fighting misconceptions about polio and its transmission.

We look forward to seeing Angela and hearing more about this work, as she is joining our club as a new Soroptimist!

Our members enjoyed a tour at Isaiah 117 House Dallas County TX where the rock garden has the name of each child who was removed from an unstable environment by Child Protective Services.

The club donated children's clothing including pj's, so each one will have a new set of items they need. We are happy to partner with them in their great work!
