This month, we continue to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, a time to recognize and honor the rich histories, cultures, and contributions of
Hispanic Americans throughout the United
States. Hilda Solis was born in California to immigrant parents, she dedicated her career to public service and advocacy. Solis has made significant contributions in the areas of environmental
protection and workforce development, helping to create opportunities for environmentally
friendly, or “green” jobs. Her leadership has inspired many Hispanic Americans and paved the way for future generations of leaders.
