Our 8th graders are spreading their wings and stepping boldly into their next chapter. As the Class of 2030 prepares to leave Gerald R. Ford Academic Center, we celebrate every laugh, every lesson, and every moment that shaped them into the incredible young people they’ve become.
Principal K shared powerful words for our Bengals to carry with them, reminders of who they are and what they’re capable of. And of course, we can’t forget Mrs. Kirksey and Mrs. Griffith, longtime favorites of so many of our 8th graders — their guidance, love, and steady presence have meant the world.
As our Bengals head to high school and beyond, we’re cheering them on every step of the way. Once a Bengal, always a Bengal. 🖤🧡
We’d like to thank Ms. Toronto for always being behind the camera and taking amazing photos of our Bengals and their families!

Yesterday our scholars participated in field day! They had so much fun riding bikes, playing with the parachute, playing soccer, face painting, playing basketball, sack races, games, and some much more. Thanks to Mr. A and Mr. Woodbeck for making our field day such a success. 🧡🖤

In March, some of our middle school girls were able to travel to GVSU to go to the Girls of Color Summit. The young ladies were able to listen to various speakers, eat lunch, win prizes, and learn about self love.

Yesterday, we had our 5th Annual Egg Drop Event with our 2nd, 3rd, and 8th graders. Students made contraptions to put their eggs in and released them from the 2nd floor. If their egg didn't break they were able to move up to the 3rd floor to drop their contraption. The students did a great job! Way to go!
