Last week Kent GOP had the opportunity to meet and connect with some influential leaders in Washington, D.C.! 🇺🇸

Speaker Mike Johnson, Congressman Bill Huizenga, Representative Lisa McClain, Congressman Carlos A. Gimenez and Representative Dale Strong used the office for a little media interview while they were touring Michigan.

For those keeping track, that includes the Speaker of the U.S. House, the Chairwoman of the House Republican Conference, and two members who chair Homeland Security subcommittees.

Speaker Johnson and Representative McClain shape the direction, strategy, and priorities of House Republicans nationwide.

Congressmen Giménez and Strong also bring impressive backgrounds as former public servants and first responders, demonstrating that leadership and service take many different forms.

Opportunities to meet with leaders who help shape the direction of our country are something we don’t take for granted. Grateful for the conversations, the connections, and the opportunity to learn from people serving at the highest levels of government.

At this week’s Executive Committee meeting, Chair Rusty Richter announced that the Kent County GOP has raised over $500,000 so far this cycle!👀💲
Our office is PACKED with campaigns and staff working every day to support Republican candidates. We’ve purchased billboards across West Michigan, organized thousands of doors to be knocked, and hosted candidates from the bottom to the top of the ticket.💪
This is a HISTORIC milestone, but we’re not slowing down. With well over a month until Election Day, we’re going to BLOW past $500,000 and continue building the most effective county party in the state.💯

Have you seen some billboards going up around Kent County supporting our excellent candidates? Cindy has several including one in Spanish near the large Spanish speaking community in her district. These are going to help get her to the State House.

You’ve got this Cindy, you’re putting in the work and you’re going to be rewarded in November.

Twenty-five years ago today, our nation was changed forever.

On September 11, 2001, nearly 3,000 innocent people lost their lives, and countless families, first responders, service members, and communities were forever changed.

Today, we remember those who were taken from us. We honor the firefighters, police officers, EMTs, and ordinary Americans who ran toward danger while others were running away. And we remember the courage, unity, and compassion that Americans showed one another in the days that followed.

May we never forget the lives lost, the sacrifices made, and the enduring reminder that our freedoms and our communities are worth protecting.
