Friendly Corps is a Grand Rapids, MI-based community organization working to improve Grand Rapids' urban fabric by facilitating relationships, championing projects and working with city government in the areas of transportation, business development, urban renewal and community organizing.

This morning the Grand Rapids Parking Commission approved waiving the fees for hooding meters YEAR ROUND for SIX shiny new bike corrals in Downtown!
Snow has never stopped cyclists, so we, as a city, need to have safe places to park these vehicles!

Friendly Corps is excited to have been a part helping in the placement and advocating for 200+ new bike parking spaces and 5 new corrals (Plus possibly moving the location of the Bartertown Diner Corral to the correct side of the street)!

North Monroe just got that much more livable. What's next for this area?
New downtown shuttle for Monroe North neighborhood will begin Dec. 10 The new route was approved last month by agreement of the DDA, the city's Parking Services Commission and the Monroe North Business Association.
