Grand Rapids firefighters responded with police and paramedics to two recent shootings.

06/01 - Engine 10 to Francis Avenue and Griggs Street SE at 00:29 hours.

05/30 - Engine 5 to Alpine Avenue and 11th Street NW at 13:59 hours.

STRUCTURE ASSIGNMENT: πŸ”₯ GR Firefighters were dispatched to a reported house fire at Straight Avenue and W. Fulton Street on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 18:09 hours. Crews extinguished fire in the walls on the second floor and in the attic of a 2-story dwelling. No injuries reported.

Local 366 sends our sincere condolences to the Boston Firefighters Local 718, the Boston Fire Department, and the friends & family of fallen firefighter Robert Kilduff Jr.

On Saturday, May 23, 2026 at approximately 20:00 hours the Boston Fire Department responded to 18 Treadway Road in Dorchester for reports of a structure fire.

Upon arrival, crews were met with heavy fire showing from the 3rd floor and through the roof of the building. A 2nd Alarm and later a 3rd Alarm were transmitted as firefighters worked to contain the blaze.

During the operation, a Mayday was transmitted after one firefighter fell from the rear porch on the 3rd floor. The firefighter was treated by Boston Emergency Medical Services and transported to a local hospital where he sadly succumbed to his injuries.

Grand Rapids firefighters were dispatched to a reported house fire in the 2200 block of Tecumseh Drive SE on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at 16:33 hours. Engine Company 4 stretched on a single-story residential dwelling with fire showing from the roof. Engine 4 began fire attack as other crews opened the roof and performed a primary search. Our members extinguished fire in the attic space. No injuries reported.
