An Opportunity not to be Missed! Please tell the young people in your lives about this great opportunity to serve with Congresswoman Hillary Scholten. Every summer, Team Scholten partners up with Democracy Summer, a program designed to train and empower the next generation of political leaders. It is a seven-week, part-time, paid internship for students ages 16 and up. It runs from June 22 - August 7.
Founded by Congressman Jamie Raskin and backed by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, Democracy Summer engages high school and college-aged young people in state-of-the-art tactics in voter registration, canvassing and digital political organizing. Through on-line seminars with leading historians, law professors, political organizers and union and elected leaders, it provides an intensive education in the historical struggle for democratic freedom and essential lessons for effective political leadership today. The deadline for applications is Sunday, May 31.

Scholten's team is looking forward to working with this group of young people from the newly opened Scholten for Congress campaign office on Grand Rapid's west side. Some virtual internships are also available. They'll provide guidance as the interns expand their leadership skills, while meeting key individuals in this and other campaigns.
Again, please think about who in your orbit may be interested, and have them act now!

It is so important in these unsure times to give what we can to Democratic Campaigns and committees that will be a part of the solution!
Early donations are so important; don’t wait until summer or fall.
Donations to state legislative races, which rely on volunteer staff, pays for yard signs, texting, email messaging, boosting social media posts, ads on online platforms and radio, mailers and flyers, billboards, etc.
For statewide races, your donation pays for TV ad time and streaming service ads as well.
Count on your money supporting union labor and fair wages for printers and designers, when you give to Democrats.
So, Google your area candidates and give!
Oh, and MI3CD needs a bit of cash. Only enough to cover our website, email messaging, and meeting costs. Help us out if you have already helped at least one candidate out. Click below:
