I love this Little Free Library, and the Book Barn, but the weird thing is that we're moving, and planning to close on the house this week. I will do everything I can to pass this library on to the new owner, and leave 3-4 boxes of great books to swap in-and-out as they hopefully decide to continue to keep the library open and available (and I'll leave the bench and all of it too because we've seen "it work" with lots of little (and big) readers over the couple years we've been open). I will really miss the library as our new place isn't really an ideal location for much foot/bike traffic for readers.

I'll also try to pass this page and the official registration on as well in some communications with the buyers, and we'll see how it goes. I will say that several people have offered to "adopt" the library and move it elsewhere on the street/neighborhood if the new owners are not interested (it is a cool/weird idea, and took us 5 years or so to commit to), so stay tuned.

Hey friends. I know we're a bit cooped up, and I can't wait to see many of you again in person very soon. And with fewer people out you may be running low on books, and have some good book time available.

So, this weekend (when the rain has run its course) we can bring some books for you. These will all be untouched for at least the last few months, from our growing collection of books that we cycle in and out of the little library. We have lots of kids and adult books, and I'll try to take some pictures to share of what your options are. Send us a DM and let us know either specifically what books you are looking for, or a broad category and say "surprise me".

We'll put them in some plastic bags and do a no-contact porch drop for you - you know the old "ring the doorbell, drop a book, and run away" trick, and drop them off over the weekend.

Glad to do it, really throughout the area - be nice to take a little drive anyway, and for a good purpose. Do let us know.

Ridiculously beautiful day meant that we could install the Little Library Solar Array. Should have just enough sunlight for the winter to library for a few hours after dark.
