The EGR Farmers Market will run every Thursday through August 27, 8:30am-1:00pm in the North Parking Lot, 750 Lakeside Dr. SE at the EGR Community Center.

-Public hearing for the proposed 2026-2027 fiscal year budget

-Consider holding a public hearing and certifying lists of delinquent accounts receivable, authorizing placement on the July 1 tax roll

-Consider a proposal to connect the Manhattan Park irrigation system to city water

-Special meeting to approve the 2026-2027 budget

Reminder: The Zoning Board of Appeals meeting has been canceled tonight (May 27) due to a lack of agenda items.

The next scheduled ZBA meeting is 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 22 in the Commission chambers at the Community Center, 750 Lakeside Drive SE.

🚧 Overnight roadwork in Gaslight Village Thursday, May 28.

Work is scheduled to begin Thursday at approximately 11 p.m. and will conclude by 6 a.m. Friday, weather permitting. Crews will mill the existing asphalt and repave Wealthy Street.

Overnight scheduling is intended to minimize disruption, and traffic control signage will be posted at intersections throughout the week.

The Manhattan Park splash pad opens for the season tomorrow, May 22. 💧

Join us daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Labor Day to cool off and enjoy the space.

A few reminders to keep everyone safe:

-Children must be supervised at all times.
-No running or rough play on the splash pad.
-No food, glass containers, bikes or scooters are allowed in the splash area.

The East Grand Rapids: Parks & Recreation Dept. has announced an expanded lineup for its all-ages Concerts and Movies in the Park series at John Collins Park, 650 Lakeside Drive SE, overlooking Reeds Lake.

🎵 Concerts in the Park will take place on select Mondays from 7-8:30 p.m.:

June 15 – Ten Penny Bit, with Irish dance performance

-Supporting Safe Routes to School projects approved by the Michigan Department of Transportation and authorize MDOT bids.

-Setting water and sewer rates for July 1, 2026-June 30, 2027 with no change.

-Approving Motor Equipment Revolving Fund replacement purchases for fiscal year 2026-2027.

-Reviewing the proposed fiscal year 2026-2027 budget in a work session.
