The Red Project, which works to shatter any lingering stigma surrounding Narcan, wanted to put its ads on The Rapid buses. But leaders rejected the campaign, saying The Rapid bans ads that incite illegal activity “of any kind." https://www.woodtv.com/news/target-8/no-narcan-ads-on-buses-the-rapid-says-they-incite-law-breaking/

If you’ve seen our billboards around town, Red Project was attempting to get some of the same content on the Rapid bus system advertising naloxone and unfortunately the Rapid has denied us from advertising the lifesaving emergency medication on their buses.

Red Project works hard to ensure people across West Michigan receive the tools, knowledge, and support to stay healthy and to stay alive, and the reason these settlements exist is to help us along our journey. This money saves more lives when it’s being used!

Read about how harm reduction has been saving lives right here in Michigan, and how harm reduction agencies are spreading across the state!
Red Project is proud to be a part of such a massive decrease in overdose, and we have no plans on stopping! From 3,000 deaths in 2021 to 1,800 in 2025 is a massive decrease and proves how effective harm reduction is when accessible and well funded ☀️

Accidents happen, and being ready saves lives.
Naloxone works for all family members, from grandma to the family dog or beloved cat.
Get a free dose of naloxone at Red Project or at one of our new naloxone boxes! Life is messy, incidents happen, and naloxone can reverse overdoses from any and all, but only, opioids.
Whether its an older relative accidentally taking too much of their medication, a child getting into the medicine cabinet, or even a dog or cat who can't stay off the counter - naloxone can save their life.

Let's talk PrEP!
Red Project takes walk-ins for PrEP consultations, no appointment needed! You can stop by our Grand Rapids office on Mondays and Thursdays from 10am and 4pm for a free, confidential PrEP consultation that comes with a free HIV (and optional Hep C) test, to talk about whether PrEP might be useful for you.
Prefer to reach out and ask questions first? You can message our PrEP Navigator directly though our social media platforms with any questions, or email [email protected] for PrEP support and guidance.
If you need a consultation paired with a test outside of walk-in hours, call the number below to set up an appointment!
If you don't know your status with certainty, its time to get tested - and we're here to help.
