*** Temporary Road Closures and Community Fest Parking Information ***

The following streets will be temporarily closed for Community Fest activities:

- 8/22/26 and 8/23/26: Burlington Ave, between Main St and Liberty St.

- 8/22/26: Railroad Ave, between Main St and Penn St.

- 8/22/26, between 8:00AM and 3:00PM: Sylvan Ave, between Main St and Penn St.

Parking and shuttle service to Community Fest activities will be available at Grand Ridge Grade School, starting at 10:00AM, on 8/22/26.

*** Parking Ban ****

A parking ban will be in effect for the 100 block of W Main Street, from 10:00AM, on Saturday, August 22, 2026, to 4:00PM, on Sunday, August 23, 2026.

Due to incoming weather, tonight’s non-highway vehicle registration will be from 4PM to 6PM, at Village Hall, 130 W Main St.

Going to Community Fest this weekend and need to get a non-highway vehicle registered?

The designated registration dates/times at Village Hall, 130 W Main Street, are as followed:

Thursday, August 20, from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM.
Friday, August 21, from 5 PM to 7 PM.

Registration on any other date/time, outside of the designated registration events, will be by appointment only, as time allows. To make an appointment, please call GRPD at (815)257-0989.

The cost for Community Fest weekend non-highway vehicle registration is $10. All vehicles must be inspected by a member of GRPD and registered before being operated on any Village streets.

***Solicitor permit***

Conxxus Fiber Internet has been issued a solicitor permit and representatives will be in town from 6/29/26 to 7/3/26.

No other solicitor permits have been issued.

As a reminder to residents: All solicitors are required to carry a copy of their Village permit with them and show it upon request. When in doubt, if you have contact with a solicitor, ask to see their Village permit. If they refuse or cannot provide you with the requested information, contact the police department and report the incident.
