It is with heavy hearts that we share the loss of Sergeant Jacob Roesler, who was involved in a fatal crash this morning while responding to a separate crash.
Sergeant Roesler, who was 26 years old, served with the Clay Township Police Department for three years with honor and a deep commitment to protecting and serving others. He was a dedicated public servant who made a lasting impact on our department and the community he swore to protect. Jacob loved the outdoors, his family, friends, and his dog.
While we are mourning the loss of Sergeant Roesler, we are also keeping the other person who was injured in this crash in our thoughts and prayers.
Today, we mourn alongside Sergeant Roesler's family, friends, and fellow officers as we grieve this unimaginable loss during this incredibly difficult time.
We ask that you keep Sergeant Roesler's loved ones, as well as the members of the Clay Township Police Department Ohio and the entire law enforcement community, in your thoughts and prayers during this time.
