Support Our Schools: Grandville

Here are some important dates as we approach the home stretch towards the mid-term elections. Be sure to vote both sides of the ballot, including local school board elections! Be an informed voter!

Election day is rapidly approaching, and registered voters in the Grandville school district will have the opportunity to select THREE Grandville Public Schools board of education members to serve six-year terms. We are fortunate to have 5 community members who have chosen to run this year for these three positions. Each candidate brings their unique experiences and perspectives to the Grandville board of education.

There were multiple opportunities for candidates to fill out questionnaires and surveys with groups such as S.O.S.Grandville, Georgetown Area Alliance Committee (GAAC), the Grandville Education Association (GEA), and The Women’s League of Voters. After careful review of the surveys and other research, S.O.S.Grandville is recommending incumbent Amy Campbell, and newcomers Nick Brock and Gregory Warsen for the three open seats. You can learn more about them by visiting our web site, www.sosgrandville.com

Two good reasons to check out our web page. We have updated the design and information posted there and you can learn more about the school board candidates running for the three open seats this November! We recently sent a 10 question survey to the candidates and asked them to respond by September 9th. We very much appreciate their participation. We encourage you to read their responses and share the web page with your friends and family who live and vote in the Grandville School District. (Click the link below)

We know we have a pretty great school system here in Grandville but it’s nice to see recognition from others outside the area! Congratulations to the administration, teaching staff, and support staff who make it all happen and thank you to the parents who support the district by approving millages and bond proposals that allow Grandville to offer a wide variety of classes and programs. Finally thank you to the students for putting in the hard work getting those excellent scores!

A recognition worth celebrating:

Grandville High School has been recognized among the top 15% of nationally ranked high schools in the 2026-27 U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools rankings.

GHS also ranked among Michigan’s top 10% for both college readiness and college curriculum breadth.

Behind those numbers are students and staff putting in the work every day. We’re proud to see their efforts recognized. 🐾

Here is a great opportunity to volunteer some time and support our wonderful Grandville schools, students, and staff!

As we continue building a strong support system for Grandville Public Schools, we’re looking for board members who believe in service, giving back, and the power of education, with a special need for those with law or finance experience.

If you love Grandville and want to make a lasting impact, we’d love to connect. Tag someone who may feel called to serve.

Once again, we wish Roger a happy retirement! Grandville is so fortunate to have benefited from his leadership, compassion for students and staff, and love of our community.

As he says goodbye to Grandville Public Schools, retiring Superintendent Roger Bearup is being remembered for his relationship-focused approach to leadership.
