HAPPY HALLOWEEN and LEAVE the LEAVES!!
We couldn't think of a better message as the raking and blowing season enters hi gear. The ground / leaf layer in the woods is essential habitat. Please consider setting aside part of your yard for the critters like fireflies that depend upon the leaves. You will be glad you did when your yard glows with lightning bugs in future summers. 🐌🐞🐛

One of the most valuable ways to support pollinators and other invertebrates is to provide them with the shelter they need to survive the winter. Thankfully, all you need to do is do less yard work.

Highlights from an exciting two day program, during which all 6th graders in Grandville Public Schools learned about our local treasure, Buck Creek. Kudos to Mr. Kyle Anderson, the Oakestown Intermediate staff, and community partners WMEAC, LGROW, Friends of Buck Creek and Grandville ESC for their roles in providing this experience to the future stewards of our watershed.
