Jeremy wants to improve drainage ditches throughout Madison County, with particular attention to areas closer to the Mississippi River.

Jeremy supports increasing the county's focus on solar energy, but says he wants to prioritize locations that don't take farmland out of production. He points to possibilities such as warehouse rooftops and parking lots as potential spaces for solar installations. Jeremy also says he wants union labor to be utilized in this work.

Jeremy's focus on helping those in need of flood prevention and mitigation, and his creative approach to protecting and maintaining farmlands while still allowing for additional power generation would be great on the county board.

Safer, stronger communities, access to healthcare and behavioral health services, economic and community development, accountable and responsive county government.

Want to learn more? Check out Angelia Gower for Madison County Board District 19!

Angelia Gower's priorities for Madison County Board include:

โ€ข Safer, stronger communities
โ€ข Access to healthcare and behavioral health services
โ€ข Economic and community development
โ€ข Accountable and responsive county government

Gower views these issues as interconnected. She points to safe neighborhoods, stable housing, healthcare access, economic opportunity and responsive government as components of strong communities.

She also emphasizes collaboration.

Gower says county government should work with municipalities, community organizations, businesses and residents to address problems, recognizing that not every issue can be solved at the county level alone.

โ€œWe may not be able to solve every problem at the county level, but we should be willing to bring the right people to the table and work toward solutions.โ€

For Gower, that collaborative approach is an important part of what she believes local leadership should look like.

Let's talk about hypocrisy, and let's talk about real plans.

Republicans claim Democrats don't tell the truth, and don't care about protecting election integrity, and don't call out inappropriate behavior within our own party. Yet, you've got Republican county officials like Chris Slusser who are supporting the incumbent clerk Linda Andreas. You've got Republican county board candidates like Eric Foster who are supporting the incumbent clerk Linda Andreas.

Linda Andreas lied when she was running in 2022, having used yard signs which implied that electing her as county clerk would lead to lower property taxes (the clerk's office has no direct control over that).

Linda Andreas oversaw the primary election in March of this year, where many of our neighbors in Mitchell, Nameoki Township, and Chouteau Township voted on referendums. Under Andreas's "leadership" the voters were miscounted and had to be recounted after a court order.

Foster says he doesn't like liars (don't take our word for it, check out his back and forth with Nick Cohan on 62040 Uncensored), yet he continues to back Andreas even after she lied in 2022 (he said she was lied to, but no one can force you to put your name on a sign). He's also yet to respond about why he continues to support her since she's an election denier. An election denier overseeing the office which handles elections, that is like having the fox oversee security for the chicken coop.

Slusser backed Andreas, too. He's not exactly a model for what an elected official should strive to do. From allegations of him trying to sell SSA #1 out from under the residents of that area, to his horrific comment about an American citizen receiving a public hanging which was so vile that it even drew rebuke from Erica Harriss and Amy Elik, he is just...gross. Another reminder that Justin Warren (another Republican county board candidate) refused to call out Slusser's language as inapprorpiate when asked, because he "doesn't know him very well and shouldn't judge". Right is right, wrong is wrong, it isn't hard.

Republicans won't tell you what they're going to do for you, they'll tell you how bad the Democrats are. If you're wondering how we differ, please keep reading and we'll tell you what we'll actually do for you.

Let's bring some sanity and class back to Madison County government. Let's elect Rachelle Bauerle for Madison County Clerk, and Jeremy D Haston for Madison Co Board, and Angelia Gower for Madison County Board District 19. Together we can bring common sense representation back to Granite City. Together, we can elect a County Clerk who actually believes in upholding results of elections, even when it means admitting her side didn't win.

When you vote, you should vote for who you think shares your values, vote for someone who you think will work for you and with you when you've got a need, concern, or idea, and vote for someone who will help elevate you and your neighbors just as quickly as they would themself and their neighbors. Democrats will do that day in and day out, from our plans to address street flooding in areas which are currently underserved, to our plans to address food shortages for kids during summer months when school isn't in session. Democrats will look for ways to ensure everyone's quality of life improves.

Early voting is already underway at the Madison County Clerk's office in Edwardsville, in the Madison County Administration Building, 155 N. Main Street, from 8:30-4:30, M-F. Satellite polling locations open on Monday, October 19th. For a full list of locations, click the link below.

Neighbors,

Remember the Republican-passed, Republican-led, Republican-owned cost increases to your Medicare coverage which will occur after the November 3rd election. Republicans control the US House of Representatives, the US Senate, and the White House. They wanted this, they pushed this, they passed this. Remember this when you vote!

Dearest Friends and Neighbors,

We're excited to roll out our new images and name. Over the past few years, we've slowly grown beyond Granite City Township (17 precints). As such, we've brought in precinct committee people from of all Nameoki Township (8 precints), parts of Chouteau Township (4/6 precincts), and all Venice Township (4 precincts), too!

If you're curious about what precinct you're in, please check out the link below and enter your address (it is from the county website) and it'll tell you exactly what precinct you're in, and where your polling place is on Election Day.

Please check out our upcoming County Board Candidates Fundraiser, which is a great chance to meet folks who're running in the November election to serve as represenatives from across our area.

We hope to see you all then, or at our monthly meetings, which are held the third Tuesday of each month at 6 PM at St. Gregory Armenian Hall, 3501 Century Drive, Granite City, IL 62040.
