Welcome “home” Ashlyn!

Ashlyn is no stranger to the events in Grant. Her family has been part of the history and the historical society since the inception! She’s the descendant of Ruby Lord and Lana Lord. Ashlyn remembers sitting on the porch of the Bensen House and helping her granny give house tours. Many of the recipes from the Seafood festival are Ruby’s recipes- and still recreated from her handwritten notes.

While we have fun in the kitchen- we do take it seriously!

The Fish Fry has been a celebration for the community and surrounding towns for decades.

We know her Mema and granny (and a few other ladies) were giggling along and bursting with happiness from above! 🕊️

There has been some confusion with the cancellation of the farmers market tomorrow. The fish fry is ready for ya!!!

Admission is free- the museum runs on donations.
