Outdoor recreation is an important part of Cibola County’s economic future.
As we welcome colleges and outdoor recreation groups for College Outdoor Recreation Weekend, October 21–25, we have an opportunity to introduce visitors to our incredible landscapes, local businesses, and community.
For the Cibola Communities Economic Development Foundation (CCEDF), supporting outdoor recreation is part of a broader commitment to economic development. Events like this can bring customers to local businesses, introduce new audiences to our destinations, and build relationships that encourage future visits.
The value also extends beyond tourism. Access to outdoor recreation strengthens our quality of life and gives us another asset to share with people considering where to live, work, or invest. This weekend allows visitors to picture a lasting connection to Cibola County.
CCEDF is proud to support this effort alongside the businesses, volunteers, donors, and partners making it possible. Their contributions demonstrate the community commitment behind our economic development work.
To every college and outdoor recreation group joining us: welcome to Cibola County. We look forward to sharing our volcanic landscapes, sandstone bluffs, forest trails, and the people who make this community an exceptional place to explore.
