🥕👀 It’s that time again… Creepy Carrots have taken over the GES Library! 🎃📚

Inspired by Aaron Reynolds and Peter Brown’s book Creepy Carrots!, our kindergarteners have been busy creating their very own Creepy Carrots. This has become a favorite library tradition at GES! 🧡🥕 We love seeing their creativity come to life in our window display each year!

Take a peek at our creepy, crawly, carrot-y creations! Do you dare to look? 🥕😂

Happy Fall Y’all! 🎃 Today our 2nd grade classrooms were transformed into cozy Pumpkin Spice Learning Cafes. It was a day filled with creativity, enthusiasm, and engaging hands on learning!! Thank you to our AMAZING parents who made this dream come true and to our 2nd grade team for making learning memorable! 🍁🍂

🏐⭐ Two teams full of GES girls battled it out on the court today! Coach Basil said they played hard, showed off their skills, and—most importantly—demonstrated GREAT sportsmanship! 👏

Many of these volleyball stars attended Coach Basil’s VB Stars Camp this summer, and it was so fun to see them put those skills into action! 💪🏐

Way to go, GES Stars! ⭐

🎀✨ Working 9 to 5… but make it DOLLY! ✨🎀

Our staff had a Jolene-level good time today celebrating the one and only Dolly Parton! 💕🤠

We had big hair, big hearts, rhinestones, wigs, and plenty of Dolly magic! 💎💖 And, of course, we couldn’t celebrate Dolly without giving a little love to the woman who has put books in the hands of millions of children through the Imagination Library! 📚✨

Because around here, we believe in working 9 to 5, standing tall, dreaming big, and being a little bit country! 🎶🌟

Dolly, we will always love you! 💕🎀

While our STARS enjoyed their day off on Monday, our GES staff was hard at work! Teachers spent the morning with our instructional coaches, Jamie and Peyton, creating fun and focused small-group stations designed to give every student more hands-on, personalized support in the classroom! ⭐️

☕️ Coffee with the Principal! ⭐️

We had a great morning with Mrs. Teeter-Stocz as she shared an update on our students’ test scores and, more importantly, how we’re continuing to engage and challenge our Stars this year! 🌟

One of our big focuses this year is helping students communicate what they’re learning through all four areas of literacy: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. 📚🗣️✏️👂

We know mornings are BUSY (we get it!! 😉), so if you weren’t able to join us, no worries! You can still hear all about our goals and plans by viewing Mrs. Teeter-Stocz’s presentation here! 👇

We’re excited about the learning happening at GES and can’t wait to see our Stars shine! ⭐️

The first afternoon of Cheer Club was a complete success! Mrs. Gibson, Mrs. Horn, and I were so impressed by how quickly these girls picked things up. We already learned a new cheer, brought out the pom-poms, and are so excited for a great year ahead!!! 📣❤️💙⭐️
