🎃 Making Holidays a Little More Special for Everyone! 👻

At IFM, one of our volunteers started a Halloween costume giveaway to help make sure local children can enjoy the fun and excitement of dressing up for Halloween, regardless of their family's budget. Beth created a tradition we look forward to every year! 🥰

At IFM, we're about more than providing wholesome, supplemental groceries. We're about neighbors helping neighbors and finding ways to make life's special moments a little brighter and more accessible for everyone in our community. ✨

✨Food Rescue Friday: Good Food, Good Neighbors!✨

Did you know that rescuing food helps feed our community while keeping good food out of the landfill? ♻️

Thanks to our local grocery stores, businesses, farms, and food partners, IFM is able to recover wholesome food that might otherwise go to waste and share it with Nevada County neighbors who need a little extra help.

A huge THANK YOU to our food rescue partners and the volunteers who help make it all happen. Together, we're turning surplus food into support for local families! If you're interested in helping with our food rescue efforts, we are in need of drivers who make it possible! You can use your personal vehicle, or you can be trained on the IFM box truck (no special license needed!)

Neighbors helping neighbors, one rescued item at a time. 🥰

A little local PSA from the Food Bank of Nevada County + Interfaith Food Ministry 💛

We know, between Nevada County, the state of Nevada, the Food Bank and Interfaith Food Ministry, things can get a little confusing.

But here’s the important part: both of our organizations are right here in Nevada County, serving our neighbors and working to make sure people in our community have access to wholesome food.

So wherever you choose to give, take a moment to make sure your donation is going where you intend it to go.

Give local and make sure your donation helps feed our local community. 🥰

Every can, box, bag and donation will help provide wholesome, supplemental groceries to our neighbors facing food insecurity. We are so grateful to everyone who stopped by, donated, spread the word, and helped make this food drive such a success. 🥰

During Hunger Action Month, we’ve been reminded that every one of us can take action to help fight hunger, and our community showed up in a big way! 💛💛
