This morning, linemen from both our North and South Districts participated in Tri-County EMC's annual Pole Top Rescue Training. This hands-on exercise reinforces the skills needed to safely and quickly rescue a fellow lineman in the event of an emergency while working atop a utility pole.

While we hope these skills are never needed for a real-life situation, regular training ensures our crews are prepared to act when every second counts.

Just one more reminder to put together a power outage ready kit before the storm begins! Most of the items you need can already be found at home but if additional supplies are needed, please have those errands done by tonight. No need to panic buy, just get what you and your family need for 3 days.

🌀 STORM WATCH 🌀

As Hurricane Isaias approaches, Tri-County EMC is closely monitoring the storm and its potential impacts on our service territory. Our crews are prepared and ready to respond should outages occur.

If you experience an outage, please report it through one of the following methods:
Text: If enrolled in our outage texting service, text 'OUT' to 85700.
App: Report through the myTCEMC mobile app.
Call: 1.833.698.2362

Please do not report outages through Facebook. Our social media pages are not monitored as closely as our official outage reporting channels, and reporting directly helps us respond more efficiently.

We will continue to share updates as conditions develop. Remember, never approach downed power lines or attempt to remove debris near electrical equipment.

Stay weather-aware, stay prepared and, most importantly, stay safe!
