Congratulations to Alissa and Holder for being the fastest 4th graders at GES! We are so proud 💛💜👏.

Please help cheer them on at the Fastest Greyhound race at the JCHS football game this Friday. They will be racing at the beginning of the 2nd quarter against students from MWES, DFES, and TWES.

🚌 It's National School Bus Safety Week!

This week, October 19–23, we're focusing on school bus safety and recognizing the hardworking members of our transportation team who help get our students to and from school safely each day.

Here's what's happening this week:

🟡 Monday: Wear Yellow Day – Kick off the week by wearing yellow!

🛑 Tuesday: Stop Means Stop – Reminders about stopping for school buses.

⚠️ Wednesday: Danger Zone Awareness – Staying safe around school buses while loading and unloading.

❤️ Thursday: Driver & Monitor Appreciation – Show some love to our transportation team!

☕ Friday: Driver Appreciation Breakfast – Celebrating our bus drivers and monitors!

We encourage our students, staff, families, and community to join us throughout the week. A special thank you to our transportation department for all they do for our students! 💜💛

It was a great night at our board meeting. We recognized our Board of Education for being named a 2026 GSBA Exemplary Governance Team and heard from Altman and Barrett and Raymond James as they shared guidance on next steps for our facilities planning.
