On September 22, 2026, the Grayville Police Department arrested Bryan Masterson and Michelle Masterson following an investigation into allegations of sexual abuse involving a juvenile victim.
The investigation began after the Grayville Police Department received information concerning alleged sexual abuse that occurred while the victim was a minor. Chief Mason Siegel conducted the investigation, including interviews related to the allegations, and developed additional information during the course of the case.
Arrest warrants were subsequently issued in White County under case numbers 2026-CF-186 and 2026-CF-187.
Michelle Masterson was arrested on a warrant charging her with one count of Criminal Sexual Assault.
Bryan Masterson was arrested on a warrant charging him with two counts of Criminal Sexual Assault.
On September 22, 2026, Chief Siegel, with assistance from Detective Malone and Deputy Simmons of the White County Sheriff’s Office, located Bryan and Michelle Masterson at their residence and took both individuals into custody without incident.
Both were transported to the White County Jail for processing.
Following the arrests, Chief Siegel conducted additional interviews that resulted in further information concerning allegations of sexual abuse involving additional juvenile victims. Those allegations remain under active investigation. Due to the nature of the investigation and in order to protect the identities and privacy of the victims, no additional details concerning the alleged offenses or the victims will be released at this time.
Due to the severity and scope of the allegations developed during the continuing investigation, additional felony charges are being considered. These may include charges of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child involving both defendants, as well as other offenses supported by the evidence. Any additional charges will be reviewed in consultation with the appropriate prosecuting authority and will be determined based upon the evidence developed during the investigation.
The Grayville Police Department is continuing to investigate this matter and is coordinating with other appropriate law enforcement and child-protection agencies regarding information developed during the investigation, including allegations that may have occurred outside Illinois.
The Grayville Police Department would like to thank the White County Sheriff’s Office for its assistance in safely taking the defendants into custody.
This remains an active and ongoing investigation. Additional information will be released when appropriate and when doing so will not compromise the investigation or the privacy of the victims.
All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
