Capt. Camille McCune was recently nominated for the Outstanding Regular Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Officer of the Year Award!

McCune’s contributions to the intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance mission throughout her career led to her nomination. Having previously nominated Airmen in her flight for the program, McCune said she is honored to receive recognition that reflects her team’s work.

Excellence, one shot at a time

Malmstrom Airmen put their marksmanship to the test during a r***e excellence in competition event last week, competing across multiple firing positions for the opportunity to earn a U.S. Air Force Excellence in Competition Rifleman Badge.

The top 10% of competitors earned the distinction, with Tech. Sgt. Nathan Turgeon taking the top spot as the overall winner. 🏆

Congratulations to all of the winners for sharpening the skills that help keep Team Malmstrom ready for the mission. 🎯

Congratulations to Tech. Sgt. Nathan Turgeon, a Ludlow, Massachusetts native, for scoring 444 out of 500 points and taking the top spot in Malmstrom’s r***e competition last week!

Turgeon, section chief for the 341st Civil Engineer Squadron water and fuel systems maintenance shop, is now eligible to wear the U.S. Air Force Excellence-in-Competition Rifleman Badge.

The following shooters also earned the distinction as top 10% in the competition:

2. Senior Airman Kyle Chandler, 341st Missile Maintenance Squadron: 440 points
3. Senior Airman Brody Hays, 341st Civil Engineer Squadron: 431 points
4. Chief Master Sgt. Christopher Bounds, 341st Missile Security Forces Squadron: 430 points
5. 1st Lt. Johnny Dahl, 490th Missile Squadron: 429 points
6. Senior Airman Mason Brown, 341st Missile Security Operations Squadron: 428 points
7. Master Sgt. Noah Hyatt, 841st Missile Security Forces Squadron: 413 points
