On October 24th, the Greece Police Department partnered with Wegmans Asset Protection for DEA National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. This event gave community members a safe and convenient way to dispose of unused or unwanted prescription medications, helping keep them out of the wrong hands and preventing potential harm.

A big thank you to Wegmans for partnering with us, and to everyone in the community who stopped by to safely dispose of their medications. Your participation helps make our community a safer place!

We had a wonderful time at Frontline Responders Day at Seneca Park Zoo!

Sgt. Ritchie enjoyed meeting so many kids and families throughout the day, answering questions, sharing smiles, and being part of an event that brought together first responders and the community. It was especially fun meeting visitors from all over, including Boston and even Paris, France!

We’re grateful to have been part of a day filled with fun, learning, and opportunities for families to meet the people who serve their communities. Thank you to the Seneca Park Zoo and everyone who helped make this event possible. We loved being there and look forward to doing it again!

The Greece Police Department maintains the C.A.R.E. Alert program to better serve residents who may have difficulty communicating or become overwhelmed during an emergency.

This voluntary registry allows caregivers to securely submit vital information regarding a loved one's specific needs, triggers, and communication styles. In the event of an emergency or a missing person report, responding officers are immediately equipped with these insights, allowing for a safer and more effective response.

The registry is confidential and open to all Greece residents caring for individuals with Autism, Dementia, Alzheimer's, or other cognitive and developmental conditions.
