Altrusa House is a 12-bedroom non-profit hospitality house. For a one-time $10 registration fee we provide convenient, compassionate, homelike lodging for families and patients who travel to Green Bay due to a medical emergency, surgery, or outpatient treatment at one of these local hospitals.
• Bellin Health
• HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center
• Aurora

Our facility offers a safe, peaceful “home away from home” where guests can cook meals, launder clothes, watch television, access WiFi, chat with staff and other guests, or just enjoy a bit of peace and quiet in the privacy of their own room. Guests make arrangements to stay through the contact person/case manager at the hospital/facility where they are staying. Hospital personnel or guests are able to call the Altrusa House to check availability. Guests bring the Altrusa House Referral Form (signed at the hospital) to the house.

We were blessed with a Meal Hero family affair this week as members of a Bible study group from Green Bay Community Church shared their time and baking talents with our guests. Our kitchen was filled with kindness and the smell of fresh pizzas that looked incredible and tasted even better. Thank you for your generosity and heart!

Curious about becoming a Meal Hero? Visit our website for details on how you can make a meaningful difference: https://www.greenbayaltrusahouse.org/meal-heroes.

Last week, a team from Schreiber Foods joined us for their annual 'Impact Week', rolling up their sleeves to, once again, help us with our fall garden clean-up. With their time and energy - even in the rain - they cleared out more than six truck loads of summer growth that grew well beyond its borders! We are deeply grateful for this volunteer team and honored to be part of a global week of service that brings Schreiber teams together to give back to the communities they call home.
