It's Friends of the Library week!

The Friends of the Caestecker Public Library do SO MUCH! They run our book sales, staff our Sunday hours, volunteer with projects that need extra hands, and help fund programs, prizes, building improvements, and local scholarships that are outside our regular budget.

Our popular Tuesday morning drop-in free play is coming to two Saturdays in November!

November 7 during the Friends of the Library Book Sale and November 28 for Keep the Cheer Here (with special holiday setup!)

Both dates will be 10 am to noon. Caregivers are responsible for the children they bring.

TUESDAY October 13 our catalog and mobile app will be down for maintenance.

What this means for you:
-You will need YOUR PHYSICAL LIBRARY CARD to check out items.
-Checkouts and returns may be a little slower.
-You can't use the app on Tuesday.

We WILL be open our regular hours. Wifi, printing, public computers, and good 'ol physical media will be unaffected. We WILL be able to check out materials to you WITH YOUR PHYSICAL LIBRARY CARD but it will be slower. Libraries (including ours) will not be filling holds so if you request something from a different location, it will take a little longer to arrive.

Winnefox Library Catalog and Winnefox Mobile App Service Outage Alert!

*Next Tuesday, October 13*, the Winnefox Catalog and Winnefox App will be unavailable for a scheduled upgrade.

Libraries will be open! You can still browse and check out items at your library’s service desk—just bring your library card! You will be able to read and listen to titles already downloaded to your Libby app.

You will not be able to use self-checkouts, place holds, pay fines, or access your account online or in the app. You probably won’t be able to download new titles, or place holds, in Libby and the Wisconsin Digital Library.

The Great Lakes Writers Festival (hosted annually by Lakeland University) includes public readings, masterclasses, book signings, a book fair, and a masterclass exclusively for high school students.
