A New Chapter in Firefighter Training!

Today, we proudly unveiled the Herb and Carol Kolisch Training Center!

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Herb and Carol Kolisch for their generous donation and commitment to strengthening our department. We also thank the Village Manager and Board of Trustees for approving this incredible project.

A special thank-you to VMetals for dedicating their time, hard work, and expertise to bringing this training center to life. We also recognize Greendale DPW for their invaluable assistance and for creating the beautiful sign that completes this space.

The training center consists of nine Connex boxes and can reach temperatures of up to 1,000 degrees. Designed to simulate various conditions and hazards firefighters may encounter during a real structure fire, this facility provides our personnel with realistic, hands-on training to build confidence, strengthen skills, and improve efficiency on the fireground.

Investing in training means investing in the safety of our firefighters and the community we proudly serve.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special unveiling and to all who helped make this project possible. We are incredibly grateful for your continued support!

Greendale paths and trails are shared spaces, stay alert while riding!

Greendale’s paths and trails are shared spaces.

Whether you’re riding a bicycle, e-bike or e-scooter:
• Slow down around pedestrians and other users.
• Announce yourself before passing.
• Give others plenty of space.
• Ride predictably and stay alert.
• Watch for pedestrians, especially at crossings and in busy areas.

A little courtesy goes a long way toward making our paths safer for everyone.

Thank you so much Wisconsin Chapter - National Fire Sprinkler Association!

Fire Sprinkler Demonstration!

Our friends from the Wisconsin Chapter - National Fire Sprinkler Association conducted a side-by-side fire sprinkler demonstration at the Greendale Fire Department open house on Saturday. Fires were ignited in two rooms. The fire in the room on the right was quickly contained by a single sprinkler head, while the room on the left - which was not equipped with fire sprinklers - was destroyed.

What an amazing weekend at our Annual Fire & Police Open House! 🚒👮‍♂️

We can’t begin to thank everyone who came out and helped make this year’s event so special! A very special thank you to all of our amazing vendors who joined us, as well as the generous donors who provided raffle prizes and treats to help us raise funds for the Greendale Firefighters Charitable Foundation.

This year was especially meaningful as it was the first year we were able to raise funds for our new charitable foundation! These funds will help support families in our community who have faced tragic events, as well as firefighters and their families who may be in need.

Every donation, contribution, and helping hand has helped move our mission forward, and we truly can’t thank you enough for your support!

We’re already looking forward to seeing everyone again next year!
