City Hall and our Maintenance Department will be closed Monday in observance of Columbus Day. We will reopen Tuesday at 8:00 am. Water bill customers will be able to pay on Tuesday without any late fee penalties. Trash service will run on time this week as well.

The City of Greenfield is looking to hire an individual for the position of City Clerk. The City offers a competitive salary based on qualifications, excellent benefits package and a good work environment. Previous clerk experience preferred but will train the right individual. A detailed list of the clerk's job duties will be available with the applications. This is a full-time position Monday thru Friday. Applications are available at City Hall and the deadline to return an application is Friday October 2, 2026. Our office is located at 105 S. Grand in Greenfield. Hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. 417-637-2532 EOE

Greenfield City-Wide Cleanup
Fall 2026

Fall Cleanup Days for the City of Greenfield RESIDENTS ONLY will be September 25th & 26th, October 2nd & 3rd. City trucks no longer pick up curbside. You must take your things out to our dumpsters located at the Sharpe Lagoon, ¼ mile west of Hwy 160/39 on BB Hwy. Residents can take their throwaway items to that location on Friday, September 25th & October 2nd from 8:00am to 3pm & Saturday, September 26th & October 3rd from 8am to 12:30pm. Shingles, tires, oil, chemicals, all paint including aerosol spray cans, brush, yard waste etc. will not be accepted at the Sharpe Lagoon. Residents are required to show a copy of their current water bill before items will be accepted.
