Thank You for Making Nodaway Valley Safety Night a Success!

A huge thank-you to everyone who helped make Nodaway Valley Safety Night possible! From our first responders and public safety partners to the volunteers, sponsors, organizers, and community members who came together to make the evening happen, we are grateful for the time, effort, and enthusiasm that went into this event.

It was a great opportunity to connect with our community, share important safety resources, introduce families to the people who serve them, and strengthen the partnerships that help keep Nodaway Valley safe.

We’re especially grateful to everyone who participated in the first-ever Blue vs. Red Challenge and brought a little friendly competition to the evening!

Events like this are a reminder that we are stronger together. Thank you for showing up, pitching in, and making community safety a shared priority!

Officer Tootle, Greenfield Police Department’s School Resource Officer, joined elementary staff to hand out snacks and share in the Homecoming Week fun with students earlier today.
We love seeing our schools, staff, students and local law enforcement enjoying these community traditions together. Go Wolverines!

🎶 Working 9 to 5… and enjoying a snack break! 🎶

In honor of Dolly Parton and 9/25 — Nine to Five Day, our Dolly Cart made a special delivery to our staff today! 🍿🍬

A big thank you to Officer Tootle, our school SRO, for helping deliver the snacks and spreading a little Dolly cheer throughout the school! 💕✨

We hope everyone enjoyed their sweet treat and had a little fun with our Dolly-inspired delivery! 🎤🎀

At Tuesday evening’s City Council meeting, Chief Marcus Speakman recognized Officer Matt Kernen and Officer Jacob Tootle for their outstanding dedication, hard work and commitment to the City of Greenfield and the Greenfield Police Department.
The department started the year short-staffed, at times operating with just two officers when the department typically has four. Throughout that challenging period, Officers Kernen and Tootle stepped up, continued to provide coverage and remained committed to serving our community.
Their dedication and willingness to go above and beyond made a significant difference to the department and to Greenfield.
Thank you, Officers Kernen and Tootle, for your service and commitment to our community. We appreciate you!
