Greenfield Public Library

Last call for Legacy Club donations to be added to the 2026 poster! Donations are ALWAYS accepted and appreciated, but it’s time to get this year’s donor list to Production Xpress so it can be displayed in the library. The board is very grateful for the generosity the library has once again been shown by so many individuals and businesses! The Legacy Club funds fill in the financial holes for payroll, materials, programs, and maintenance that our real estate taxes and grants don’t cover.

Meet our new director, Danyle Housemen! Thanks to Carmen Ensinger with the River County News for interviewing her so the community can learn more about her enthusiasm for promoting all that the library can do and be! Sorry it’s a little hard to read, but the library does subscribe to the paper so come in and read our copy😊

If you love the horror story genre, what better time than the Halloween season to read a few of the best! The library has some of these, but most can be ordered through the SHARE website/app and as audio books. Happy hauntings😱🫣😰

Location, location, location. That’s the concept behind today’s special Halloween collection of scary stories for the discerning horror enthusiast...

What an afternoon- we went from a surprise pink frog guest(thanks Doris Feltes!), to pumpkin painting, to Halloween games, to spooky stories and songs by the campfire with Mike Anderson - The Dulcimerguy, to take home treats! Our costume winners were Gloria and Avery and our door prize winners were Lolo and Brooks! This special afternoon was made possible by a financial and “manpower” collaboration between the library and the Greenfield Arts Committee, so many thanks to them.
