At last evening's Greenhills Council meeting, I had the pleasure of introducing our department’s newest officer, Christopher Shipley.

Born and raised in the Village of Greenhills, Officer Shipley has served our community for seven years as a volunteer and part-time member of the Greenhills Fire Department. We are excited to welcome him as he continues his commitment to his hometown in a new role.

Pictured with Officer Shipley, Mayor Moore administers the ceremonial oath of office. Mayor Moore originally swore him in on September 19th.

Congratulations, Officer Shipley, and welcome aboard! We look forward to all you will contribute to the Greenhills Police Department and the community we proudly serve.

Welcome the department's two newest officers, Chris Shipley and Ram Kafley. Officer Shipley was recently sworn in by Mayor Moore. Chris served the Greenhills Fire Department for more than seven years, first as a volunteer firefighter and later as a part-time firefighter before joining our side of the house. Officer Kafley was sworn in by the Mayor on July 7th and is wrapping up his FTO program. Ram came to us from Xavier University. Both Officer Shipley and Officer Kafley will have a ceremonial swearing-in at the October Council meeting. Welcome, Officers Shipley and Kafley!

Had another great Sunday afternoon Building Bridges. Watch for our next scheduled meeting. Thank you, Gracehills Church, for providing the space, and Antonio Spicer for his continued leadership of the program. Also, a shout-out to CPD Detective Greene for his excellent presentation on situational awareness and Dr. Walker for providing good eats.

This Sunday! Hope to see you there! Remember, all men in 6th to 12th grade are encouraged to attend.
