October 18, 2026
Good Evening Falcon Families,
We had a great time celebrating homecoming 2026! I hope you enjoyed seeing your students excited about dressing up and celebrating our school spirit. We will continue this spirit of community this week with National Bully Prevention Day on October 21st. We will wear orange to demonstrate that we are united for kindness, acceptance, inclusion and respect. Here at the Nest we want all students to feel safe, welcome and included.
**PTO**
Our PTO is hosting a Gift card drive. They are collecting gift cards from fast food, grocery stores, amazon, etc in increments of 5, 10 or 20 dollars. The cards will be used for staff appreciation and student recognition events. You can drop off the gift cards with the front office or have your student drop them off during business hours.
** SOUTHEAST MIDDLE SCHOOL ATHLETICS: IMPORTANT UPDATE**

2. Select Sign Up or Create Account.
3. Choose the appropriate account type and enter the required information.
4. Verify your email address if prompted.
5. Follow the prompts to connect your athlete to Southeast Middle School.
6. Enter our school organization code: CCHW59.
7. Follow the instructions to complete your athlete’s profile and upload the required sports physical and concussion form.
Please make sure all required documents are uploaded before participating in workouts or tryouts. See Class DoJo for details on how to create an account or have additional questions.
Already turned in a physical this school year? See Ms. Mosley to receive your paper copy so you can upload it to DragonFly.

General Reminders:
School Nurse – Our school nurse is scheduled to be on campus 3 days per week. A school nurse can only dispense medications that have a medical authorization form on file, they cannot give students any medication, including over the counter medications without this form on file. If you have concerns, need resources or need to reach her please email her at [email protected]
Parents on campus – We love having our parents on campus. Please make sure you have completed your GCS Volunteer form to allow you to come on in and support our scholars. We strive to maintain the safest environment for your scholars and ensuring that our visitors have current background checks and are checked into the building appropriately is one way we can obtain that goal.
Student Behavior – remind students that there is a time and place for horse play, goofing around with friends and being silly. School is a place where students should not touch other students, even if they are playing. The opportunity to slip, fall, run into another student or the situation to escalate is too great. Thank you parents for helping us reinforce expectations.
Arrival and dismissal – car rider line opens at 8:05 in the morning. Remember to wait to drop students off after 8:05am and collect your student before 3:55pm daily. Please ensure your student is not let out on or at the road and if you are in lanes B & C that students use the crosswalk.
Students who arrive late to school must check into the front office then go through the scan stations before entering the building.
Early check outs require a photo ID and end at 3pm daily to ensure our staff can supervise dismissal effectively.
Dress code – Help ensure your student does not leave the house with their midriff showing (front or back), visible undergarments and without inappropriate depictions or language on their clothing.
