Guilford County EMS Guilford County EMS delivers paramedic-level prehospital care to the residents and visitors of Guilford County, NC.

Embracing service in motion, we advance a healthy, resilient community through quality medical care, driven by empowered employees. Guilford County EMS is the sole paramedic level provider of pre-hospital services to the entire population of Guilford County. County paramedic transport units are easily recognizable by their distinctive yellow and white paint scheme. All County EMS units are staffed by at least one paramedic. Support units are generally painted white with yellow striping to identify their role on the scene of an emergency support units include “Medic” units that are routinely staffed with one personnel that respond to emergencies to assess and treat patients at the paramedic level until transport units arrive. Disaster and rehabilitation units are also considered support units. Guilford County EMS employs approximately 160 full-time and 50 part-time personnel.

Plan ahead and share! ⚠️ 🛤️

The North Carolina Railroad and Norfolk Southern are replacing aging rail lines in Guilford County this week beginning in the Town of Gibsonville, NC.

This work will temporarily close multiple railroad crossings in the county, including those into Greensboro. During each closure, no vehicles or pedestrians will be permitted through the affected crossing. Motorists and pedestrians should use available detours, follow posted signage, and allow additional travel time.

Gibsonville crossings expected to be impacted this week:
🛑 Huffine Street
🛑 Springwood Avenue
🛑 S. Joyner Street
🛑 Powerlind Road
