Please help us congratulate Robert Neuer and Adam Epstein on successfully completing the Fire Officer Academy!

This is no ordinary class. The Fire Officer Academy is a 6-day, 95-hour program designed to challenge participants mentally, physically, and emotionally.

Their journey began long before they arrived for those six days. Over the summer, Bob and Adam completed required pre-class coursework, classes, and essays just to be considered as candidates for the program.

Once the academy began, the days were long, demanding, and exhausting. They were challenged as firefighters, leaders, and individuals. By the end of the week, they were tired and pushed to their limits—but they persevered and finished what they started.

What makes this accomplishment even more meaningful is that this academy was a choice. It is not a requirement of our department. Bob and Adam chose to take on this challenge because they wanted to become better leaders—for their crews, their families, our department, and most importantly, for the community we serve.

Leadership is about being willing to step up, put in the work, and continue growing even when no one requires you to.

Bob and Adam did exactly that.

👏 Congratulations, gentlemen, on this incredible accomplishment and on choosing to step up and lead! We are proud of you both! 🚒🔥

🐾🔥 Happy National Fire Pup Day! 🔥🐾

Today we’re celebrating our very own firehouse pup, Marshal! 🚒🐶

Whether he’s supervising around the station, keeping the crews company, or just making sure everyone gets their daily dose of puppy love, Marshal has quickly become an important part of the Belmont Fire Department family.

He may not be ready to drive the engine just yet… but he’s definitely mastered boosting morale. ❤️

Help us show Chief Marshal some love on National Fire Pup Day! 🐾🚒

🎀 Going Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month! 🎀

If you see Belmont Fire Department crews out on a wreck or working along the roadway this October wearing pink safety vests, there’s a special reason behind it.

Throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month, our crews will be wearing pink safety vests and shirts in support of those who have battled breast cancer, those currently fighting, the survivors, and the families who have been impacted by this disease.

For us, the pink is more than just a color — it’s a way to show support, raise awareness, and stand alongside everyone affected by breast cancer. 💗

The Belmont Fire Department congratulates Lieutenants Robert Neuer and Dillon Myers on completing the Battalion Academy last week during the 82nd Annual South Carolina Association of Fire Chiefs Conference.

The Battalion Academy is one of South Carolina’s Fire Service's valuable professional-development opportunities designed to prepare line officers for future leadership roles as chief officers.

We are proud of Lieutenant Neuer and Lieutenant Myers for their commitment to professional growth, leadership, and continued service to our department and community.

We are proud to announce that the Belmont Fire Department has received the 2026 Richard S. Campbell Award for Excellence in Public Fire Safety Education! Belmont Fire Department was one of only three fire departments statewide to receive this prestigious recognition.

Departments are evaluated on how they identify community risks and develop effective programs to address them. Criteria includes innovation, creativity, planning, implementation, program evaluation, community support, media involvement, and overall program strategy.

While we are honored to receive this award, the work behind it is truly a team effort. Our Community Risk Reduction programs depend on the dedication of our firefighters and the continued support of our community partners, local businesses, homeowners’ associations, and—most importantly—the residents who welcome us into their homes and neighborhoods.

Thank you to everyone who supports our efforts!
