Thank you to all the quilters who made the gorgeous quilts for this year’s Help-A-Child benefit! The quilts were auctioned to help raise funds that will benefit CASA for Hunt County, the CASA and CAC in Hopkins County, and Scottish Rite hospital. Many of the quilts were also donated to the children served by CASA for Hunt County. Thank you so much Jan Bartley (left) and Cara Duncan, owner/operator of Cara’s Quilt Barn and Mahoney Oaks Retreat!

As a CASA for Hunt County volunteer, you can be the one consistent, supportive presence a child needs to navigate the foster care system to a safe, permanent home.

• Who can be a CASA? Everyday people like teachers, retirees, business professionals, and grandparents step up to make a difference.

• What you’ll do: You will focus on one child or sibling group at a time, advocating for their needs in court, school, and agency meetings.

• Why it matters: Your personal attention and independent evaluations help give judges the insights they need to make the best possible decisions.

Every step forward begins with you. Join our family of volunteers and be the voice that makes a difference in a child’s life!
