Here’s what you can look forward to:

🎃 The Rock Food Truck: Grab dinner with delicious food items available for purchase.

🎃 Haunted Hallway: Be sure to visit your Encore teachers in the mobile unit for some spooky fun! Donations are not required but are greatly appreciated. All proceeds will support our Encore programs. Donations can be made by cash, check, or through School Cash Online using the link sent by email.

🎃 Book Fair: Stop by the media center to shop the book fair!

🎃 VIP Pick-Up Raffle: The PTA will be selling raffle tickets for VIP pick-up for the second half of the school year!

We can’t wait for a fun evening with our Elmhurst families!

Connecting Cultures, One Conversation at a Time! 🇨🇴❤️🌏💻

Our students had a wonderful virtual exchange with students from La Arboleda School from Cali, Colombia! 🇨🇴 Together, they shared and learned about the traditional foods, tourist attractions, and special places that make each of their cities unique.

We love creating these meaningful connections that allow our students to explore new cultures, learn from one another, and see the world beyond their classroom. What a wonderful way to celebrate cultural diversity and build global connections!

Elmhurst Updates and Reminders-Week of 10/12/26:

There will be no school on Monday, October 12th. We will hold parent conference from 10:30-6:00.

We will have a PTA meeting this Tuesday, October 13th at 6:00 in the cafeteria. We hope to see you there!

We will have our first PTA spirit night of the year at Cucinella’s on October 14th, all day, at both locations. Pick up a pizza and skip dinner, and a portion of your spending will come back to support our school and students.

There will be a girl scouts interest meeting on Thursday, October 15th at 3:00 in the media center. Please RSVP at the link: https://my.cheddarup.com/c/elmhurst-troop-interested-meeting/forms

That same evening, there will be a boy scouts interest meeting from 6:00-7:00.

The Book Fair at Elmhurst will be October 19-23 and will be open the night of HalloRead for parents. Also, the library is hosting the annual book character pumpkin decorating contest. All pumpkins should be fake and turned in by Monday, October 19th to be displayed during the book fair. If possible, students should bring a copy or picture of the book they based their character on.

The month of October is National Bullying Awareness Month. We will have several events throughout the month to bring awareness to bullying and ways that students can advocate for themselves and each other. Mark your calendars for Wednesday, October 21st, which is Unity Day. We will wear orange to unite against bullying.

Makeup Picture day will be Wednesday, October 21st, for anyone who missed picture day.

PTA will host our annual Halloread event on Thursday, October 22nd from 5:30-7:30. You will not want to miss it. A signup genius has been shared by the PTA with a sign up for donations. We are thankful for any donations. Due to many food allergies and sensitivities, if you are able, please consider sending dye free or nut free candies, or even trinkets that are not candy.

We will also have a spirit week the week of Monday, October 26-Friday, October 30 during red ribbon week.

Friday-Wear Costumes (no scary, bloody, or gory costumes, and no masks that cover the face)

For twin day, I will be wearing blue jeans and a black sweater, if anyone needs a twin and wants to twin with me!
