At our meeting this coming Monday we're going to be talking about the NC General Assemblies recent attempts to suppress the student vote and what we can do to fight back. We're also going to be talking about SB 132, SB 308, and the most recent SB 675 three bills that are designed to make a woman's access to accurate reproductive health information, and reproductive health care more difficult.

On top of that we'll briefly discuss the Steubenville R**e Case and our reactions to the case's most recent developments.

Who Am I?

1. I attended George Washington University, Rutgers School of Law–Newark, and the University of Houston

2. I have appeared in the documentary films, Maxed Out and Michael Moore's Capitalism: A Love Story. I have also appeared numerous times on television programs including Dr. Phil and The Daily Show.

3. I was appointed by United States Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to chair the five-member Congressional Oversight Panel created to oversee the implementation of the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act

4. On September 14, 2011, I declared my intention to run for the Democratic nomination for the 2012 election for the United States Senate seat of my state.

5. I am the first woman ever elected to the U.S. Senate from my state.

6. I was sworn in by Vice President Joe Biden

7. I have written several books, including All Your Worth: The Ultimate Lifetime Money Plan and The Two-Income Trap: Why Middle-Class Mothers and Fathers Are Going Broke (Co-authored by my daughter)

8. I reside in Cambridge, Massachusetts
