💗 Our Powering Hope Dollar War is heating up!

Here’s where the teams stand as of October 23:
🥇 Team 1: 47,752 points
🥈 Team 2: 37,630 points
🥉 Team 3: 6,293 points

Team 1 is holding the top spot, but will Team 2 close the gap? And Team 3… we’re not counting you out yet! 😉

Together, our employees and members have raised $1,335.25 for the Cancer Association of Darke County! While the teams compete for bragging rights, every donation helps support people in our community facing cancer.

Stop by the office to join the fun and give your favorite team a boost! Remember, the winner is determined by total points, not dollars raised. Next week is the final week!

Thank you to everyone helping us power hope! 💗

For 90 years, Darke REC has been proud to support the communities we serve. At this year's Great Darke County Fair, we were honored to support Gazebo Entertainment, the Showman of Showmen competition, and recognize outstanding youth through FFA, Bake-A-Rama, and Youth Building awards.

Thank you to everyone who helps make the fair a special Darke County tradition. Here's to 90 years of powering community.

⚠️ **Planned Outage Today, October 21**

Crews need to replace a broken pole on New Madison Coletown Road, just south of Stingley. Members in the area will experience a planned outage beginning at approximately 4:30 p.m. and lasting about one hour.

We’re thankful no one was hurt. With harvest in full swing, please take extra care around poles, overhead lines and guy wires when moving equipment. We know our farmers are putting in long hours, and we want everyone to make it home safely.

Thank you for your patience as our crews make these repairs!

Cooler temps are coming, which means your heating system will soon be working harder to keep your home comfortable. Fall is the perfect time to check for drafts around windows and doors before cooler weather arrives. A little weatherstripping and caulk can help keep cold air out while improving efficiency and overall comfort.
