Greenville, N.C. Fire/Rescue Greenville Fire/Rescue/EMS takes great pride in serving our many customer bases.

At times we serve the community through education, sometimes through simply lending a helping han, and other times through enforcement of codes. One service that we are extremely proud to provide is our emergency response services for both fire and medical emergencies. Our goal is to help people through what is often one of the worst days of their lives. We take a great deal of pride in our service commitments and operate under the premise that "people will only care about how much you know, when they know about how much you care".

In 2025 Greenville Fire/Rescue was awarded an Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) in the amount of $700,735.

Part of the grant was to purchase nine new ZOLL Zenix cardiac monitors/defibrillators, that are now in service on our EMS units.

This investment allows our department to upgrade our lifesaving equipment with some of the latest technology available in emergency medical care, further strengthening our ability to provide high-quality, advanced life support services to the citizens and visitors of Greenville

What does this mean?

Advanced Cardiac Monitoring: Enhanced monitoring capabilities help our paramedics quickly assess patients and make critical treatment decisions during medical emergencies.

Improved Patient Care: Modern technology provides clearer displays, intuitive controls, and advanced tools to support rapid assessment and treatment.

Lifesaving Technology: Advanced defibrillation and resuscitation capabilities support our crews when every second counts during a cardiac emergency.

Greater Efficiency: Improved equipment design and streamlined operation allow our paramedics to focus on what matters most, providing exceptional patient care.

We are grateful for the support provided through FEMA's Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program, which helps fire and EMS departments obtain the critical equipment needed to protect the communities they serve.

Greenville Fire/Rescue and the Greenville, NC Police Department are partnering with Pitt County Schools to promote school bus safety and help keep our students safe! 💛🚌

This week, October 19–23, we’re reminding our community to stay alert, follow traffic laws, and watch for students getting on and off the bus.
