Our party chair, Chris Johnson, attended a session for farmers with Dr Abdul El-Sayed and former Senator Debbie Stabenow. The event was held at the Kellogg Farm near Ithaca and was sponsored by the Michigan Farmers Union.

Debbie spoke eloquently about farm & food policies and the needed Farm Bill. Abdul received applause with his comments on plans to help farmers with a hand up rather than a hand out. He then asked questions to the attending farmers about rising input costs vs reduced prices for their commodities. Farmers were very vocal about the harmful effects of the Republican tariffs.
