The 2026 Summer Reading Program is almost here! You’ll have a 🦕 ROARING 🦖 good time at the library this summer.

UPDATE: the spots have all been filled but we have a waitlist if you'd like to put your child on it just in case a spot becomes available.
This special event is happening at the library in Bethel, N.C., which is 20 minutes north of Greenville. Ms. Erin has 1 opening for a lucky girl and is also taking names for a waitlist in case of any cancellations.

We have just ONE spot left for our Very Fancy Tea Party Storytime Saturday, May 30th from 10:00-12:00. If your little girl age 4-10 lives for dressing up, making necklaces, eating sweet treats, and listening to stories then call or text Ms. Erin at 252-750-6602 to claim a spot for this free library event.

Join us for a Makerspace Workshop on April 23rd., at 3:00 p.m., in the Children's Program Room. Bring your ideas, and imagination. Recommend ages three and up.

Toddler Test: Library Story Time 📚 If you’re looking for an easy, free activity to get out of the house—this is such a good one. We tried story time at the Sheppard Memorial Library and it’s: ✔️ Interactive (music, singing, movement) ✔️ Not strict—kids can move around ✔️ Includes a group story ✔️ Puppets + time for littles to explore I love that it’s not one of those “sit still the whole time” situations—perfect for wiggly babies and toddlers. 🗓️ Schedule: • Mondays at 9:30 + 10:30 (baby/toddler story time) • Tuesdays: story time for older toddlers (*more to come on this one*) ✨ Each week has a different theme which keeps it fun and new This is an easy win when you need to get out of the house but don’t want to overthink it. It’s also perfect if you have 2 little ones and you need an activity that will engage them both! 💡 Tip: Get there a little early for extra running around time.
