Pitt County Schools was proud to celebrate and recognize our 50 Key BT last night in our 4th Cohort. We were able to break bread together, tell stories, remember the past, and plan for the future. Pay attention because these teachers are going places.

Our Key BT Cohort 4 got together on March 8th to continue our Advocacy, Resource, and Leadership training. It’s amazing what happens when you get creative, effective, and innovative teachers together.

Our Key BT Cohort 4 participants enjoyed discussing and learning about key issues in Education and we discussed Advocacy and Training at our 2nd meeting this year.

48 of our Key BTs participated in our first day of training on Tuesday, Oct 17th. We focused on using our own personality type to communicate with others in True Colors, practiced different protocols to listen and talk, and brainstormed ways to promote and add to the Teacher Resource Google Drive. It was a great day with some creative, innovative, and effective teachers.

Partnerships like the one with PCAE help support early career teachers in some unique ways in Pitt County. This event was a good time to make connections in a different type of environment, to talk, to console, and to brainstorm some great ideas from some great educators. Plan to attend the next one in December.

Day 3 of the Pitt County Schools' New Teacher Orientation ended with our BTs eating lunch with Key BTs and other sharp and supportive teachers from their schools. It was a great way to end the event.
