dd value to others today. Give direction, encouragement and help them out. Be disciplined. Work hard. Do all you can in the right way to be successful. Take your leadership seriously. Lift others up. Give them recognition and the tools they need to grow. If they grow, you grow. Be an example in how to live and work. They are watching. Be honest and transparent. You have been blessed with many abilities. You are intelligent, a good thinker, a good communicator. You have a good heart and are willing to help. No need to be afraid. God loves you. 🌍 Make A Difference Day 🌍

Did you know Make A Difference Day began in 1992 when USA Weekend encouraged readers to use the “extra day” of that leap year to do something good for their community or someone in need?

That spirit continues today. Making a difference doesn’t always require a grand gesture. It can be as simple as sharing a smile, volunteering your time, offering a listening ear, encouraging someone who’s struggling, or helping meet a practical need.

Small acts of kindness can make a lasting impact. ❤️

Today, consider one way you can make a difference in someone’s life—not just today, but every day.

Time Sure Flies at The Drop! 💙

It’s hard to believe our students have already completed their first nine weeks of school! It’s been a wonderful season of learning, laughter, growing friendships, and opportunities to serve.

📚 Elementary Drop students have been busy building vocabulary, celebrating birthdays, welcoming new friends, growing academically, and enjoying fun activities like co****le and scooter boards!

🎨 Middle School Drop has been filled with creativity, life skills, and meaningful conversations—from baking cookies and screen-printing T-shirts to tackling homework and learning about maturity and faith.

❤️ More Than an After-School Program: Beyond the fun and learning, we’ve had opportunities to walk alongside families facing difficult seasons, offering encouragement, support, and God’s love when they need it most. This is what makes The Drop so special!

🙌 We Couldn’t Do It Without You! We’re incredibly grateful for our amazing mentors, volunteers, and bus drivers who pour their hearts into our students each week.

The Refuge is bustling with activity, and we’re excited to see what God has planned for the rest of the school year!

Thank you for being part of this ministry and helping us make a lasting difference in the lives of our students and families! 💙

❤️ Honoring a Legacy of Giving! ❤️

What a beautiful tribute to Gene Perkins, a man remembered for his love of family and dedication to serving his community!

A heartfelt THANK YOU to Susan and Steve Bowsman and the Ashwood Estates community for making the 2nd Annual Gene Perkins Stock the Pantry for The Refuge event such an incredible success!

This year, their generosity resulted in an AMAZING 2,973 pounds of food and hygiene items to help stock our pantry and support the families we serve!

We are beyond grateful for this tremendous outpouring of kindness and for the special way Gene’s legacy of service and compassion continues to make a difference in our community.

What a wonderful way to honor a life well lived!

☀️ Getting Outside, Getting Moving, and Having Fun! 🏃‍♂️

A big THANK YOU to Jake Harrell, PE teacher at Southport High School, for spending time with our Drop student, last week and getting our kiddos up and moving! They learned how to play co****le, had a blast on scooter boards, and enjoyed a beautiful day outdoors!

Jake also shared some important advice about limiting screen time and staying active. A couple of our older students were listening especially closely—we sure hope those words of wisdom stick! 😊

We love opportunities that combine fun, movement, and valuable life lessons!
