Today, we celebrate Reaching Higher as one of the first school districts in South Carolina to reach the 90-90-90 milestone of surpassing 90% in all three major achievement areas. Dr. Royster congratulates students, staff and our community on this historic, shared achievement. Accomplishing an all-time high graduation rate of 92.2%, with 90.5% of the graduating class earning College/Career Ready status, and 98.9% of Greenville County schools rated Excellent, Good, or Average on the State Report Card, our students and schools are proving the powerful advantage of a Greenville County Schools education, where there are Stronger Communities, Greater Opportunities!

📚✍️ Hooked on a Good Beginning at the RMS Library!

Our 7th grade ELA students visited the library last week for a fun, competitive activity all about writing hooks! Students searched through books to find the best hooks that grab a reader’s attention and make them want to keep reading. 📖🔎

From intriguing questions and surprising statements to vivid descriptions and exciting openings, our Royals explored how authors use different techniques to pull readers into a story. The challenge? Find the most compelling book hook! 🏆

We love seeing our students explore books, sharpen their writing skills, and discover just how powerful a great first line can be!
