This is pictures and video from yesterdays house burn training. Yesterday we were able to train on topics such as fire attack, fire behavior, search, and pump operations. Thank you to the village of Gresham for allowing us to train with this structure and thank you to our members and the members of Utica Fire that came for an excellent day of training!

Gresham Fire and Rescue is planning a live fire training exercise tomorrow morning at the corner of Ella and Oak streets. Do not be alarmed if you see a large fire department presence. This exercise will go until early afternoon and could still be smoldering the remainder of the day.

Our new pumper gets delivered today! This is something that has taken years of prep work and countless hours of work by both our rural board and your Gresham Fire and Rescue members. We want to thank our rural board for providing us the tools we need to keep our community safe. We want to thank our members that have put in the hours needed to plan, figure out our needs, and spec out a truck accordingly. And finally we want to thank the citizens of our district for always supporting us in what we need. If your out and about tonight you just might see us out training with this new piece of apparatus.

We would like to thank everyone that joined us over Memorial Weekend to celebrate the Annual Gresham Fireman's Picnic.

A special thank you is extended to Poor Horse Coffee Trailer, Tacos la Pasadita, Anna Street Trolley, The Wagon Wheel, and the Big Horn Bar for serving up some great food to share with our amazing crowd.

And a BIG SHOUT OUT to all the volunteers and sponsors, who help make this weekend a success, this weekend wouldn’t be possible without you! Your dedication to all the events take time and perseverance, so we thank you once again for everything you do!

KAWL/KTMX Radio, we appreciated your help in getting the word out for us.

So, on behalf of Gresham Fire & Rescue, thank you for spending the weekend with us and making 120 years of serving our community special.

Meeting night and training last night. We ran a scenario of a firefighter collapsing after heavy physical exertion. This involves rapidly beginning CPR and removing the firefighters bunker gear.
