💚 A Day of Community Volunteer Service with De La Salle High School! 💚

A special thank you to our high school senior student volunteer from De La Salle High School for spending time with Crescent City Family Services (CCFS) and helping prepare food packages for our upcoming curbside food distribution! 🥫🛍️

💚 Louisiana WIC Summit 2026! 💚

Today’s Louisiana WIC Summit brought together WIC professionals and leaders from across Regions 1–9, retail grocery vendors, and WIC participants for a day of meaningful conversations, collaboration, and inspiration!

The summit was hosted by the Louisiana Department of Health, under the leadership of Secretary Bruce D. Greenstein, with Tonya Joiner, Assistant Secretary of the Office of Public Health, Statewide Medical Directors and Bureau of Nutrition Services administrative leadership team members were in attendance.

The focus of the summit centered on a shared mission: REACH, TEACH, and KEEP our WIC families engaged in services while working together to GROW WIC! 🌱

Through engaging discussions and the sharing of ideas, we explored ways to strengthen WIC services, better connect with our families, and ensure they have the resources and support they need to benefit from the program and thrive.

A special thank-you to the President of the National WIC Association for her motivational and uplifting message recognizing the accomplishments of Louisiana WIC and the incredible impact this program continues to make in the lives of families across our state. 💚

When we come together with a shared purpose, we create opportunities to do even more for the families we serve.

Together, we can REACH more families, TEACH with purpose, KEEP families connected, and GROW WIC together! 🌟

💜 PILLOW OF PEACE 2026 💜

Crescent City Family Services is excited to kick off our 19th Annual Pillow of Peace Drive, taking place October 8th–November 6th!

This year, our goal is to collect 100 new, standard-size pillows and $500 in monetary donations to provide comfort to women and children staying in local women’s shelters. 🛏️💜

A pillow may seem like a small gift, but for someone leaving an unsafe situation, it can be a little piece of comfort—something that belongs to them and a reminder that someone they may never meet is wishing them peace, safety, and brighter days ahead.

💕 Supporting Moms, Babies & Families! 💕

Today’s Mommy-to-Be Open House at Ochsner Westbank was a wonderful opportunity for expectant mothers and fathers to connect, learn, and discover valuable resources available to support their growing families.

🌧️ Even with the inclement weather, our amazing community partners and the Ochsner Maternal Health Care Team showed up to provide education, encouragement, and support on a variety of important maternal and family health topics.

We are so proud that Crescent City Family Services was able to be part of this special event and share the many programs, services, and resources we offer to support the Maternal and Child Health (MCH) community. 💙
