🌤️ As severe weather season approaches, making sure your shade structures are ready for whatever the weather brings.

Fabric shades do an amazing job keeping our spaces cool and comfortable, but they need a little extra care when severe weather approaches. Landscape Structures recently shared helpful reminders on how to keep shades in top shape:

• Check hardware and tensioning
• Remove fabric when high winds or extreme weather are expected
• Inspect for wear or loose connections after storms
• Keep up with routine cleaning

A little prep now means safer, longer‑lasting shade for everyone who plays, relaxes, and gathers in our parks and playgrounds. 💙

Diane brings a wonderful mix of creativity, technical skill, and genuine heart to every project she touches. With degrees in Landscape Architecture and Environmental Studies from Iowa State University, she has spent more than 20 years helping communities reimagine parks and public spaces. Her work is grounded in listening, collaboration, and a true passion for designing places that bring people together.

Diane joined Outdoor Recreation Products in 2022 to expand her impact in creating playful, iconic spaces. As your local representative, she’s here to guide you through design decisions, coordinate installation needs, and support you long after your new space is complete.

We had an amazing experience partnering with Kaboom! and Landscape Structures at the Bruce Fellman North Omaha Boys & Girls Club this week. We joined the volunteer installation on Saturday — and wow, what a turnout.

An incredible group of volunteers came together to build a much‑needed playground in a setting that never had one. Seeing everyone shoulder‑to‑shoulder, turning hard work into something joyful and lasting, was genuinely inspiring.

The Mayor even stopped by to show his support and reinforce his commitment to parks throughout Omaha.

A great day, a great team, and a great new place for kids to play. 💙🧡
