We’re getting ready for another great season, and coach registration is opening early! 🙌

If you’d like to coach your kiddo’s team, now is the time to sign up! We’d love to have our amazing Gridley Parents and Coaches help make this a fun and positive season for our players. ❤️🏀

📣 A couple of important reminders:
• With the high number of registrations we expect, only your own child’s placement on your team can be guaranteed.

• Only a parent or legal guardian may register a child. Registrations submitted by anyone else will need to be corrected and resubmitted by the appropriate guardian.

The City of Gridley is excited to invite residents to our Outdoor Equity Program Fall Event — “I Spy a Bird!” at Gray Lodge Wildlife Area!

Join us for a fun, family-friendly opportunity to explore the outdoors and learn about local bird species, guided by Gray Lodge Wildlife Guides. 🦆🦅

⚽️ SOCCER UPDATE ⚽️

Tomorrow, Saturday, September 12, 2026, kicks off our first soccer games of the 2026 season! 🎉⚽️

📍 GAME TIMES

🕗 First game: 8:00 AM
🕐 Last game ends: 1:00 PM

Please check the map below for field assignments by division.

🚨 SIDELINE REMINDER

Parents and spectators, please do not sit or stand within the white lines shown on the site map near the fields.

Keeping these areas clear (approx. 3-4 ft) gives our sideline referees enough space to safely run up and down the field without interfering with spectators or players. We appreciate everyone’s help in keeping the sidelines safe and accessible.

🚗 PARKING REMINDER

Please help us keep the area safe and respectful by not parking:

🚫 In front of fire hydrants
🚫 In front of driveways belonging to nearby homes
🚫 In the Gridley Seventh-day Adventist Church parking lot (please see the map in this post)

Please remember to be respectful and supportive of our coaches and referees. Our coaches volunteer their time to support our players, and many of our referees are local high school students gaining valuable experience.

Let’s show them the same kindness and support they show our kids.

A huge shoutout to all of our amazing coaches for the time, energy, and commitment they give to our players. We truly couldn’t do this without you!

A special thank you to GUSD for allowing us to use their fields and for continuing to be so supportive of our program.

We’re excited to share the schedules for the upcoming Gridley Recreation Soccer season!

Schedules for all divisions are now available and include game dates and times for the season. Coaches have been provided with additional information regarding game-day expectations and best practices.

The City of Gridley would like to announce that Carmen Santana will serve as the Interim Recreation Manager and new point of contact for the Recreation Department.

Site Supervisor David Navarro will be on site once soccer games begin to assist with anything that comes up during soccer activities, and Carmen will also be on site periodically.

Schedule Update: Soccer schedules will be provided to coaches tonight for a final review. If no adjustments are needed, the schedules will be released to the public tomorrow.

We look forward to supporting our Gridley community and providing a successful recreation season.
