We are honored to have partnered with the James Madison University Lifelong Learning Institute to offer our Cave Formation and Geology course, providing adults with an opportunity to continue their educational journeys while exploring the fascinating world beneath our feet!

At Grand Caverns, we believe education is a lifelong process. Through this course, participants explored the science behind cave formation, the geological processes that shape our underground landscapes, the unique ecosystems found within caves, and the importance of conservation in protecting these fragile environments for future generations. Our staff had a wonderful time sharing their knowledge and passion with such an enthusiastic group of lifelong learners!

We are excited to share a few photos from our experience and are grateful to everyone who participated in making this course a success. Partnerships like this allow us to expand educational opportunities, strengthen community connections, and inspire a deeper appreciation for Virginia’s natural history and geological resources. Thank you to the James Madison Lifelong Learning Institute for this meaningful collaboration! 🦇🪨
