"One of the greatest strengths of South Western City Schools is its diversity. Our classrooms bring together students from different cultures, backgrounds, and walks of life, each deserving of the same opportunities to learn and succeed. As one of the most diverse school districts in Central Ohio, SWCS represents the future of our community." ~ Mohamed Omar, Grove City Councilmember - Ward 5

"My late husband, George, and I grew up in this community. George was a gifted mason and, literally, helped build so much of this town, contracting work with SWCS. George enjoyed touching lives through his work and, that’s why, even with George’s untimely passing, I continue to live in service to others and will vote FOR the No-New-Millage bond issue, Issue 6." ~ Sandra Larger

Issue 6 Fast Facts: Among items addressed in our public FAQ, is consideration of Renovation vs. Replacement 🏫

⚫ Third party, the Ohio Facilities Construction Comission has an evaluative threshold for when any Ohio schools are in need of a full building replacement: This is when that mark eclipses 66% of the cost of a new construction.
⚫ The OFCC has assessed Grove City High School at 82%
⚫ The OFCC has assessed Westland High School at 83%
⚫ Additionally, each building is comprised of dated HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and sewer systems that drive up ongoing maintenance costs with many components no longer servicable by the manufacture.
⚫ November 3rd's Issue 6 unlocks ~$113M in OFCC state matching funds that go to South Western City Schools to assist with these projects.
